In this session three museums will share examples of how their regional context continues to inform how they develop exhibits, programs, and practices. Come and learn how a high school student’s fossil discovery was the genesis of a museum, how the Mississippi embayment created the conditions for a treasure trove of local fossils and rich soil, and what community science looks like in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.
